PEDIATRIC DENTIST
William Mucklow, DMD
Dr. William Mucklow grew up in Watertown, a small town in northern New York. He graduated from Syracuse University and then worked as a chemical engineer in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Although he is now first and foremost an Eagles fan, he is still loyal to his Packers.
“Dr. Bill” attended Temple University School of Dentistry, where he was elected class President his sophomore year, and was the school representative to the National Dental Society convention in California his junior year. He was also elected to several dental honor societies. During his four years of dental school Dr. Bill realized that, more than any other aspect of dentistry, he loved working with children.
Following dental school Dr. Mucklow served a two year residency in Pediatric Dentistry at Montefiore Hospital in New York City, one of the top programs in the country. At the completion of his residency he accepted a third-year fellowship, also in Pediatrics, at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York.
Dr. Mucklow opened his private Pediatric practice in Swarthmore, PA in 1980 where he practiced for 22 years. He retired in 2003, but missed his “kids” too much so he joined the Rose Tree Dental Group in 2004 as their pediatric dentist.
Dr. Bill strives to make sure that new patients have a pleasant experience, and helping patients overcome their fears is of utmost importance to him. Dr. Mucklow uses an “open door policy” and encourages parents to become active and involved in maintaining their children’s dental health and overall wellbeing. Dr. Bill is very happy to be doing what he loves and is looking forward to helping your child.
